Day 10: My feet hurt

So i may or may not have hurt my ankle/heel/calf. okay so i did. not on purpose or because i fell or anything it just cramped up really bad after the Warwick Castle stairs of death, doom, and destruction. So now it feels like im walking on a charlie horse all the time...but i took some pain meds..oh excuse me i took a LOT of pain meds and now im doing okay.
So today we had class again for only a bit and then the whole group rushed to go to an acting workshop with a woman from Shared Experience who does a lot of physical expressionistic work. It was really fun and interesting and i learned a lot of great things about movement and how we move and how moving a certain way in a group or with two people changes the context of a lot of things. All good stuff. We played some theatre games too...all the same games we play in the states...just with a british twist...and MP walked around like a zombie...it was awesome.

After that we all split up and Rudie, Chris, and myself went on a 3 amigos adventure to the Victoria and Albert museum. they have a really awesome fashion gallery and jewllery exhibit. I was also overhwhelmed at how HUGE it was and how sparkly the jewlery was. The fashion area made me think of Heather Brown (The costume designer @ calvin) and her teaching us how to draw people and clothes....good times.
We walked around for a LOOOONG TIME and my leg was really starting to hurt so we went back to the flat which i will now call "home" cause i dont want to write "the flat."

So we got back home and then sat for a bit and then the 3 of us went out to Tesco ( a supermarket) and got some food supplies so we don't blow through all of our food money going out. I got a huge loaf of bread for only 49p (pence) and like 6 bananas for only 70p. Good stuff. And since Chris is such a good guy/a great friend he carried by bags back for me. (you rock Chris!)
Then we made sandwiches and went to see the show for tonight...which was AMAZONIA!!!

It was by far the cheesiest show we've seen...and yet the most entertaining show yet! It was about the amazon forest in Brazil and how the village people wanted to preserve it and how they were struggling but at the same time developers were chopping down trees. It was all singing all dancing too! The set, lights, and all the technical aspects of the show were incredible. The lights were so colorful and interesting and the set was in the round including a giant tree in the middle and real water on 3 sides of the stage...good thing we didn't sit on the side of the stage where people got SOAKED. And the cast was so into making it real that they sprayed water on people and they used the water to have someone magically appear and for some one to fall in and get attacked by a giant snake and boy was it funny. There was even a pregnant woman who actually threw up(it was fake of course) on stage. At first i thought she just got sick and was like wowww that's so gross. but then she did it 2 more times and i was like hm..maybe its on purpose? and turns out she was pregnant...i dont know how she did it though...maybe she broke a fake vomit pack in her mouth...i have no idea. OH and also she was hungry for a bulls tongue so she told her husband to get it for her and she actually had a big slimy red tongue she just chowed down...it was gross but the whole production team went all out...and it even rained on stage into the pond/river surrounding the stage. It was so technically wonderful i couldn't even believe it. It was interactive too. we were right next to the stage so the actors were looking at us and telling us to have a good time...and then it ended in a big dance where the whole cast came out dressed as cowboys/girls and did a crazy dance and there was a live Brazilian band playing it was great!
So much fun!!

And then we went back home and all hung out for a bit..and now its time for bed!!!
we might even go see Hamlet tomorrow with Patrick Stewart!! (aka Bicard from Star Trek)
